The fourth annual Wayfinding and Navigation Festival at the University of Hawaiʻiʻs Imiloa Astronomy Center in Hilo, Hawaiʻi. This year the festival celebrated the wonderful life of Eddie Aikau...a true Hawaiʻian Hero. Focused on Hawaiʻian cultural practices, the festival highlighted the old, traditional navigation techniques that utilized the stars, birds and nature to venture across the ocean...and eventually to this remote island chain called Hawaiʻi. My assignment was to document all two days of storytelling, educational talk story, food, music, art, crafts and the sharing of personal stories from the family and friends of Eddie Aikau.
